We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and our guidebook for living. It gives us a true history of the creation of the heavens, the earth, and of mankind. It tells us, correctly, of events to come regarding the heavens, earth, and the destiny of man. There is no salvation outside of that which is contained in its pages.
We believe in one God, the creator and sustainer of all things, who manifest Himself as the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, and the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit) in the New Testament church.
There is only ONE GOD: the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and of all mankind. This one God, the I Am, is manifested, or revealed, to mankind as Father the Creator, Son the Savior (1 John 5:20), and Holy Ghost, the indwelling Spirit (Romans 8:11). God is a spirit (John 4:24), the eternal one, the creator of all things, and of all men. Thus making Him their Father (through creation) (Malachi 2:10). The Lord is the first and the last, and beside Him there is no God (Isaiah 44:6).
We believe that because of original sin, the sin of Adam and Eve, all mankind is born in a fallen state and is in need of a savior (Romans 5:12).
The plan of salvation is clearly stated in the book of Acts, chapter 2, verses 38 and 39, and is confirmed throughout the entirety of the Bible. Salvation consists of deliverance from sin through the blood of Christ. This is accomplished by repentance from sin, water baptism (by immersion) in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
God created mankind to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully living
life their own way. To rectify this, we need God's saving grace to end our separation
from Him.
We believe the Bible teaches that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works. Faith in Jesus is the means by which a person is justified. At the same time, a sinner must believe the gospel; he is commanded to repent of his sinful life, to be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ, and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues (Acts 2:38; 4:12; 8:12-17; 10:43-48; 19:1-6). Faith and obedience work together in God's grace to reconcile us to God.
God is holy, and He requires us to pursue holiness (separation) unto Him. Leviticus 19:2, "...you shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy." According to I Peter 2:9 and II Corinthians 7:1, we are to present ourselves holy unto the Lord.
